Monday, February 23, 2004 Well, most of you probally had a more exciting weekend than me. The bar was super-busy on Thursday and pretty busy on Friday which equalled 2 late nights in a row which means I slept a lot. Cristin had a gig at the club on Saturday afternoon that I was way to tired to attend. It went great though. She then went to help Mr. Sia with his one-man show for Aspen (or butt-pencil) I stayed home and watched movies and made tacos. My 35th birthday is coming up this Saturday! I am now officially out of the "young demographic". I'm having a little get-together at thre BPC (check upcoming shows!) posted by Shappy at 4:44 PM Thursday, February 19, 2004 So I've drawn a great cartoon featuring all the dogs in Best of Show. I'm not too confident in my scanning abilities but it will be up here soon. It was a great day out for two snoos. We ate a lot of nachos and saw a lot of wiener dogs! We even got "courtside seats" for most of the shows except I gave up my seat to this pushy woman who owned 2 long-haired doxies. They both lost so instant karma took care of that! Cristin then had to leave for Santa Cruz for a gig and I had to work 3 days in a row which of course had my dogs barking. I have taken to wearing a knee brace to work to keep things balanced. Valentine's Day was sweet. I got snoo a copy of Hollywood Animal and she hasn't put it down since! I knew she'd dig it. We decided to have a nice simple dinner at our neighborhood diner -The Neptune. It was nice and relaxing. Monday I went out and saw Mighty Mike McGee at Bar 13 and slammed after having "one too many". It was fun (or so I'm told). Tuesday I had a great night at the club and got word that I'll be doing a show at Northern Michigan University in March (check the Upcoming Shows page for info) so that's VERY cool. I'll be with Daniel Roop and Gayle Danley. My mom is awesome! She sent me a big box of Wonka candy for Valentine's! How sweet! I made my own sauce today and salad and pasta for dinner and ran a lot of errands. I have two busy nights ahead and then a snoo-less weekend. Don't forget-Cristin is making a rare performance appearance with Daphne Gottlieb and Maggie Estep this Saturday at the BPC at 2 PM! Check out bowerypoetry.com for deets! posted by Shappy at 1:54 AM

Wednesday, February 11, 2004 I'll tell you all about the dog show later but if everyone who reads this could send some positive vibes in the direction of Ft Walton Florida I'd appreciate that, my mom is having surgery today. Thanks. posted by Shappy at 1:32 AM Monday, February 09, 2004 Oh my DOG! The Westminster dog show started today and of course, we don't have cable so we'll have to see it live tomorrow! I got some cool stuff at Housing Works today with the gift certificate snoo gave me for Christmas including Heartbeeps a crazy Andy Kaufman movie I haven't seen in years! We had sushi for dinner and came home and watched a really interesting show about Tupperware on PBS! Check it out when it's on (American Experience) posted by Shappy at 10:55 PM Sunday, February 08, 2004 Did you see our glorious leader on Meet the Press today? The man is doomed! So nervous and unsure how to answer hard-hitting questions. He seemed stunned that he might not be re-elected. The bell tolls for thee, Georgie-boy! Maybe you should start bringing our "young ones" home and start focusing on the mess you made of this country! Snoo and I had a swell weekend despite a bad gout attack on late Thursday/early Friday. It was so bad I called in sick on Friday. I figure it would be better to stay off the bad knee and start the healing process and I'm happy to report that I healed up quite nicely. Even took a nice stroll with Cristin on Saturday to help keep things in action. We got some great movies at our local Coconuts. 3 for $12! Nobody likes VHS anymore! Today we went to an open house with our fellow Astorians, Ed and Jeannie and had a late lunch at the Neptune. Then we watched the Grammys. White Stripes were cool and it was awesome to see Prince on TV. Tuesday is the Westminster Dog Show! Also, check out aptowicz.com for new pics and comicdiary updates! Also, there is something new at my Comic review page! posted by Shappy at 11:51 PM Monday, February 02, 2004 Well, Justin saw Janet's boobie so I guess that means 6 more weeks of Winter! posted by Shappy at 6:24 PM
