Sunday, September 28, 2003 Well, snoo is in Australia safe and sound! She got the royal treatment on her flight and is in a fancy hotel! She even found some of her beloved creamed spinach from a Boston Market in Sydney! We can't find it here in NYC but In Australia-sure! Also, they still have Woolworth's out there! It's like bizarro America! She is off to Newcastle today for her internship. I have a pretty busy work week coming up and 2 shows to go to this week as well. posted by Shappy at 8:48 PM

SNIFF! I'M ALL ALONE!
Well, snoo left for Australia just 2 hours ago. Now it's just me and the pile of nerd videos I got yesterday. Morgan Taylor is playing tonight if I want to go all the way to Brooklyn. I haven't decided yet. I have a one-man show to write. The Aspen Comedy Fest is in my sites!

Wednesday, September 24, 2003 Hey! The shows in LA were great! Me and snoo got to stay in shi-shi hotel that is the #1 choice for celebs to hide in after "elective" surgery! We were in the hardcore party distict for sure. Roxy and Viper Room were right around the corner as well as the Hustler Cafe! Porn and coffee, the way to start the day! Got to meet some influentual entertainment types and hung with some of my fave poetry pals. Mighty Mike McGee was on hand and will be in NYC in Feb and I said I'd have him bar back for me. Cristin worked it in LA and we both go back in November! For now I am helping me sweetie get ready for her month long gig in Austraila. I have plenty of work ahead of me next month both as a bar manager and as a working artist. I will miss my snoo a bunch, but also welcome the challenges ahead of me. I know that Cristin and I want each other to do what's best for each of us. That's what our whole relationship is about! The first year of our relationship was long-distance and we only grew closer. After 3 years together, we both know that a month apart is only gonna make us appreciate each other's love that much more. Still, it's gonna be a lonely October. posted by Shappy at 12:54 AM

Poor Snoo!
Cristin was tired all day cuz she partied too hardy in Philly last night at the wrap party for the Mutter mini-shoot. I made spinach salad and garlic bread and pasta with zee Prego mushroom sauce! Dee-lish! We are gonna stay up and sleep on the plane to LA. It'll be great to visit Hollywood! I've never seen the sidewalk of the stars! So excited! We're bringing the computer so I'll try to update! The BPC anniversary party was awesome last night. Got to see Syd Straw play and she stayed and partied with us afterwards it was cool. We all read poems for Syd and my pal David Po from Dayton. Then we all had cider and shot virtual deer at the Bleeker Bar!

Verizon actually sent me a refund check! No hassles! Just showed up in the mail! So me and Cristin are in the poet's chorus tonight at the BPC. I got lots of ordering done today. Saturday, September 13, 2003 Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I am currently writing 3 journals including this one, including a comic journal. Cristin thought it would be cool to do them together while she is in Australia (check out hers here). That way we can trade em when she gets back. I had a pretty good week at the club tips wise. I also had to kick out a heckler at the September 11th memorial reading if you can believe that shit! People suck sometimes. Cristin is in Philly shooting a mock trailer for her movie "Mutter" so she can pitch it in November. We head to LA next weekend for a Comedy Central showcase and poetry website launch. Monday, September 08, 2003 Had a very nice snoo weekend to counteract all the Zeke sadness. I had to work Friday night but made good TIP$ and got home and talked to Cristin in the wee hours. Saturday Cristin's folk's came into town to see Cristin before she leaves for Austraila. Her brother Kevin also popped by for a visit. Mrs A found a great all you can eat joint and it was awesome! They had little hot dogs wrapped in bacon! All you can eat crab legs! I think I might make the BPC crew come out and eat there with me sometime! Got to see some of the wedding photos and lent Mr. Aptowicz a bunch of videos. Of couse he went right for the MASH boxed set which proves my theory that all dads love MASH! When snoo's folx left me and Crissy and Kevin went out for coffee and witnessed an altercation between a crazy old man and a young teen thug which Cristin stopped by yelling "CUT IT OUT! THIS IS A FAMILY NEIGHBORHOOD!" Today snoo helped Taylor with his one man show which opens Saturday which I'll see with Phil West who's coming in for a visit. Then I worked snoo over in Scrabble. Sadness. . .
The Aptowicz family dog, Zeke, has been sick lately and has to be put to sleep. Cristin has been crying all night so of course I have been crying along with her.
Zeke was the first Aptowicz family member I met! He was a cool pooch. I'm glad we got to see him during Kevin's wedding. Good luck in doggie heaven Don Zeke!

HOW MUCH DO 8 STITCHES COST IN NYC?
$750!!!
That's not a typo, my friends! If only I could have a telethon this weekend! I guess I'll be paying in installments. sigh. It almost ruined my weekend. But Cristin and I had much planned for this weekend so I sucked it up and had fun anyway. She's going away in 4 weeks! So we saw Freddy vs. Jason on Saturday and American Splendor tonight! Both great flicks for totally different reasons. I also started my own comic journal today. I promise to catch up with y'all tomorrow.
