So I practiced my Def Poems last night at Beau Sia's Whatever (which is every Tuesday at the BPC! 10:30pm) Looks like I'll have to cut Sensitive down a bit I am that Nerd is doing fine on time. What a trip to be taping a TV show. Should be fun. Finally moved out the last bit of stuff from my old place. I am looking forward to setting up our little love nest. I have this whole weekend to do so. By the way, my girlfriend is really awesome and pretty!

WHEN IT RAINS-IT MF'N POURS!

Guess who's taping for Def Poetry in about a week! Oh yeah, it's me! Plus, Cristin is a finalist in a screenwriting contest-$10,000 top prize! Plus, Cristin won the semi-finals on Thursday and Taylor Mali presented me with a vintage Aurora Karate Fighting Men! Then Cline sent me a copy of Daredevil (read my review here. ) in da mail! And I live in house made of candy!

Hey, everyone! It's me! Back in better health. Turns out a lot of people I know had the same bug as me. Being sick sucks! Taylor Mali and I had a Scrabble date with some elderly ladies today but we were stood up! Bad weather I guess. So we walked around to find a place to play and have some lunch. The sushi place kicked us out! Damn Scrabble players! We ate and ended up playing at the assisted living center where we later read our poems (along with Yolanda Wilkinson!) for a lovely group of ladies. I don't hink they "got" all my references but I must admit I had fun playing piano and performing a "clean" version of Butterfly! YOW! Rob Neil came back from Chicago and brought me back a brand new 8-track player! I can't even imagine how much they would've charged me in NYC for this rare gem! Picked up the new Ramones tribute album yesterday. Would you believe U2 covers "Beat on the Brat"?!? GENIUS! It reminded me of the day Joey died and Seth Tucker played all of the Ramones records in Chicago Comics. That reminds me Seth's band PAL has a website up. Check it out! www.palpalpal.net!

Hey all! It's Cristin writing for Shap because he's sick: 101.9 fever!! He wanted to update, but then got to feverish. So here's a list compiled by me about the day the day Shap had:

1.) Woke up at half past noon, looked out window: a foot of snow! With more falling!

2.) Slept.

3.) Ate soup.

4.) Slept.

5.) Woke up. A foot and half a snow!

6.) Watched Tex Avery Cartoons.

7.) Slept.

8.) Woke up for Joe Millionaire. Drank tea. Ate a little pizza.

9.) Slept.

10.) Woke up and is now watching a bootleg copy of "About Schimdt"

That's it!

Cristin's bumpersticker summary of today :

"It's out with gout, and in with the flu."<----- hilarious.

Well, the gout has pretty much subsided. The pills have worked thier magic. I now must do my best to eat healthier and drink alcohol sensibly. I think a drinking binge a couple of Mondays ago might have triggered this last bout with gout. I have to remember I'm not in my 20's anymore! Also, Cristin and I are officially "living together"! We came home from Penn Station yesterday and found her roommate and packed up and left without even a good-bye! We are now cleaning and preparing to move my stuff in. I am anxious to get all my stuff in here. We are currently TV-free which is nice but man I miss my DVD player! It matters not for soon me and Cristin will have a happy little home carved out for us. I am getting my own computer tomorrow thanx to Dawn Saylor and LuckyDave! My mom sent us a great care package today. Thanx, mom! Be sure to drop by the club tomorrow for Beau Sia's Whatever at 10:30, IT SHOULD BE DOPE AND WACK!

Wonderful news everyone! I HAVE GOUT! Yes, just when I thought it was scurvy or smallpox it just turned out to be run of the mill GOUT! Turns out my Granpa and my Uncle Kenny had it as well. So now I take pills, wear a brace and avoid meat and booze! It should be called Homer Simpson's Lament. Apparently, it will vanish overnight. Meanwhile, I'm walking the streets of NYC like Frankenstein! Sam Henderson's Magic Whistle #8 came out yesterday. It is yet another masterwork of hilarity. Please purchase it! Also check out Jonny Ryan's "Shouldn't You Be Working" also heelarryus! With this bum leg my moving in process has been delayed. No matter, Cristin's roomie isn't moving out til Sunday. All I wanna do is set up shelves, organize my stuff and cook my snoo some creamed spinach! sigh.

Happy Groundhogs Day!!!

Looks like 6 more weeks of winter, because when I woke up this morning I saw my shadow... because it was 3 in the afternoon!!! Just kidding. I didn't see my shadow, because my apartment has no windows! But not for long, since its countdown one week til me and my lil snoo move in together. Gift blenders welcome!

Wish my weekend was more exciting to write about, but I busted my knee living la vida bartender, and spent the weekend hobbling around, packing and watching 80s commericals on DVD thanks to Cline! Man, why don't they bring back the Burger King and Sir Shakes-a-lot! That was advertising gold!

Tomorrow, I'm going to go to the Doctor for the first time since Miami Vice was on the air. Cristin got me a knee brace, and since I'm already wearing velcro shoes that look like they were designed for mentally challenged people, I thought enough was enough. So that's my exciting weekend.

This Tuesday is Beau Sia's first show at the BPC. He's asked Cristin to co-host because he can't get his own girlfriend. Just kidding! I'm on pain killers and have been huffing icyhot all day! I thinking no straighty! Plus Cristin is typing this verabatim, and so I don't even know what the fuck I'm saying any more!

But please do come to the show on Tuesday! The whole gang will be there! Including heavily medicated me! Hooray!

MD, here I come!
